IMPERIAL AIRWAYS AND ASSOCIATED COMPANIES OPERATE THE WORLDS LONGEST AIR ROUTE

A globe shows the Imperial Airways routes, which totalled almost 20,000 miles. The two long-haul Empire services divided at Alexandria - one heading south through Africa for a further six days to Johannesburg, the other travelling east through Palestine and the Gulf through to India and Australia.
