Crashed, Tiverton. 7/11/1939 (RAF Service) On 7th November 1939, whilst on duties as a troop and cargo service for the British Expeditionary Force in France, Horatius was unable to locate the home aerodrome and was wrecked when it hit two trees while attempting an emergency landing on Tiverton golf course, Devon.
