Crashed - Neufchatel, Boulogne. 1930

On 30th October 1930, G-EBIX flew into high ground in fog near Neufchatel while homeward bound on a relief service with three privilege passengers and three crew. The pilot, J.J. Flynn, was very severely injured, with one leg amputated, and the engineer, F.H. Mason, and two of the passengers were killed. The third passenger, F.B. Tomkins, in spite of having both legs crushed, crawled for more than a mile to get help, which arrived in time to save 'Paddy' Flynn's life.
