Want to help keep the history of Imperial Airways alive? - Join the club…
The club was launched in 2003 to cover every aspect of Imperial Airways together with an airshow stand, to run alongside the website.
The Imperial Airways club, website, and stand have merged with the 'Imperial 42' project archive to give a complete picture of the operations of the airline and the aircraft in the early days of commercial aviation.
The network of members stretches all over the world, and the collective information being received is bringing personal stories which have never been told from all aspects - pilots, stewards, staff, passengers and even aerodrome managers. We have also been able to trace and bring together lost friends through this common medium. Club members can also send in material if they would like to share it with others, and can benefit by asking their own personal questions through the club.
The stand includes a history of the company, with details of the aircraft used, original artefacts, models and club merchandise, amongst other items. To see pictures and information on the stand and club merchandise click here.
