A first day cover to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the opening of London's Terminal Airport on 29th March 2003.
This cover was flown in Cessna 172, G-AVOJ, from Biggin Hill with the hope of landing at the disused Croydon Airport. Permission to land was not granted, so two celebratory circuits were made of the old Airport Control buildings after which the flight was continued to Goodwood.
