HANDLEY PAGE
A HISTORY
Alan Dowsett

Set up as the first limited company for the manufacture of aeroplanes in 1909 and maintaining its independence until the doors finally closed in February 1970, Handley Page built up a reputation for large aeroplanes as varied as the O/400, HP.42, Halifax and Victor. An appendix lists designs from HP.1, the 1909 Type A Blackbird, to HP.137, the Jetstream.
