From an article which appeared in the June/July 2001 issue of British Airways "Touchdown" magazine.
Congratulations to Alfred Acey, one of the oldest surviving members of Imperial Airways, following his presentation of a certificate on the occasion of his 90th birthday from the Town of New Tecumseth, Ontario, by the Mayor Larry Keogh. Other certificates presented were from the Prime Minister of Canada, the Premier of Ontario, The Governor General of Canada and Members of Provincial Parliament for Simcoe-Gray Country. A proclamation was read by the Town Crier. With Alfred is his wife Mary, whom he married in Toronto in 1997. She was the widow of Bill Forsythe, formerly with Imperial Airways, British Airways and later Middle East Airlines.
